You want an in-ground swimming pool...who doesn't? But don't make the same mistake so many of your friends and family make and pick up the phone and call the pool company. Your first call should be to a design/build landscape firm like North Point Outdoors. Creating a plan for your new in-ground pool is crucial to the success of your new outdoors space! Partnering with an experienced Swimming Pool Project Manager like NPO can save you thousands of dollars in cost overruns, lost time and scheduling headache. If you've heard the horror stories from you friends and family chances are because they didn't plan their project with a professional who can design, manage and self-perform the installation from the excavation to finish landscape.
Using a seasoned designer will set the stage for a fantastic new backyard oasis! An initial meeting consultation will determine what you want out of you new pool area. Remember, you're going to want to account for things such as space for sun bathing, a fire pit to sit around, an area to BBQ or mix up your favorite cocktail, and potentially a spa to relax in. Leaving this kind of planning up to a pool company often means they're never accounted, and you'll end up with a cramped or poorly-designed pool area that doesn't fit your needs and doesn't leave you feeling happy about the finished project - and that's the last thing you want!
Most designs for back yard pool areas range from $1500-$3000. However, in the end it could save you tens of thousands.
There is such a range of pricing to have a pool installed. A lot of it comes down to how much you want to budget and spend on your outdoor space. An average inground swimming pool typically costs $35,000-$50,000. The landscape and pool decking for an average in ground pool is $20,000-$40,000. As you add features, increase size and upgrade materials these costs can easily double. North Point Outdoors has experience with pool projects ranging from $40,000 to $500,000 and every where in between. We custom design and plan pool projects to fit our customers needs and desire.
Our landscape designer will meet at your home to discuss your wants and needs. They will evaluate the work space, taking measurements of the area along with your home and any existing decks or patios. Pictures will be taken of the space and your home. Once the initial information is gathered the designer will build out your project in our 3D landscape design program, taking into account property setbacks and obstacles such as septic tanks and leach fields.
During our initial meeting we begin to discuss your budget and intended investment into the project. From there we provide plans and images for your feedback and review. Once you approve a design we begin the estimating process and provide a detailed, transparent and professional proposal. If everything looks good and we've met your expectations we work together to accept the proposal and move into the scheduling and production phases.
Before you know it we will turn our 3D plan into reality and you will be enjoying your new swimming pool for years to come.
